Deployment, licensing model and maintenance

You Have the Choice: On-premises or SaaS

Whether as SaaS solution, as an application installed in your company’s own infrastructure, or as cloud software hosted by your IT service provider: When implementing CAQ.Net, you can always choose the appropriate installation option that best meets your individual usage scenario. Furthermore, the implementation method you choose is not a decision that is set in stone – thanks to our flexible licensing terms, changing from a hosted SaaS variant to self-powered purchase software and vice versa is possible at any time.

On-premises

  • Deployment: You are responsible for installing the software on servers and end devices.
  • Access: You are responsible for setting up access to the software.
  • Maintenance & Security: You are responsible for maintaining the necessary IT infrastructure and installing updates.
  • Data security: You are responsible for the security of your data and access to it.

SaaS – CAQ.Net as a Service

  • Deployment: CAQ AG installs and hosts the software.
  • Access: CAQ AG ensures that the software can be accessed from anywhere via an Internet connection.
  • Maintenance & Security: CAQ AG is responsible for the maintenance of the provided IT infrastructure and the installation of updates.
  • Data security: CAQ AG is responsible for the security of your data and the corresponding access protection.

Licensing Model

The best of both worlds – Our Generic Floating License (GFL) licensing model combines the best of the Concurrent License and Named User licensing models: the advantages of Concurrent License in terms of the flexible pool of floating licenses across all users and modules and the advantages of Named User in terms of the possibility of license reservation for individuals or workstations.

  • An unlimited number of employees can share a license
  • Cross-modular license pool
  • License reservation option with reservation hierarchy for tenants, user groups, users or workstations
  • Cross-location license usage (with a shared database)
  • You can adjust reservation rules to your needs at any time
